EDIT by fabtep: Sims 2 erscheint nicht nur in Holland, sondern auch bei uns, am 16. September 2004. Mehr dazu auch in dieser News.

The Dutch EA webmaster has officially announced that Sims 2 will be in the shops on September the 16th here in Holland

I wonder if this is allso for Germany? Keep an eye on the official German site.

Das wundert mich aber jetzt. Sind die Sims Spiele nicht immer zeitgleich in Holand und Deutschland rausgekommen?

it´s really unfair, that you will get the Sims2 bevor we will have it;)
 
Untill now there was 1 European release date .... ?? But on most European EA sites they have introduced a new registration yesterday that doesn't work properly so most Webmaster are working on that. Untill a few minutes ago there was no officicial announcement on the German Site ... someone could ask overthere?

On the German EA-Site and diesims.de it is said, that The Sims2 will be in shops on 23. September 2004. This is much later than in the Netherlands or the US.

Auf der deutschen EA-Site und diesims.de steht, dass Die Sims2 am 23. September in den Läden stehen wird. Das ist viel später als in den Niederlanden.

- we are just very lucky that we'll get it on the 16th
- the release date in US will allso be earlier
- the german site will make an announcement later
- or finally EA noticed that there are allso European fans and they will release it in Europe sooner then in US

I don't think that the relase date will change, but we'll keep an eye on that. For now this seems too speculative, so we probably won't mention it on SimsZone.de.

I asked the Dutch Webmaster 2 questions:

1. Is september 16th the official European release date?
2. Will the US release date change too??

When he answers those questions I'll let you know ;)

Translated: September 16th will be the Worldwide relase date of Sims 2. For America, Japan and Europe
 
Really?? WOW! Finally we won`t have to drool any more over ingame pics from US players long before we get it... :D

I think this is going to be a big logistic challenge for EA - let`s hope it works out right! ;)

well: confronting the webmaster with the question: why is this new official worldwide release date not on any other site allso not on the American BBS? he admitted that the news was just officialy announced and that he had put it on the Dutch site too soon. So I asked him 'where can we find that official announcement?' . As soon as he answers that question I'll be back here.
 
We have now asked EA Germany directly and they said the relase date has not changed. September 16 is the worldwide ship date, which means that EA will start sending it to the handlers, but it won't be available in stores that day. So the webmaster of the dutch site probably got that wrong.

Auf deutsch: Wir haben uns noch einmal direkt bei EA erkundigt, der 23. September bleibt der Erscheinungstermin für das Spiel in Deutschland, am 16. September beginnt die weltweite Auslieferung an die Händler, kaufen kann man es an dem Tag aber noch nicht. Vermutlich hat der Webmaster der holländischen Seite das falsch verstanden.

The Dutch Webmaster said after reading the text from EA Germany:
"Shipdate is September 13th, streetdate is September 16th" ....

I guess we have to wait for some other EA announcement because I don't know who to believe ....
 
Today somebody on the Dutch Site said that the Swedish EA site is allso talking abouth a release date on September 16th. And the Dutch webmaster will talk to the European EA salesdepartment today abouth this confusing of release dates.
 
Jop, wir haben - als wir das auf der UK-Seite gelesen haben - bei EA nachgefragt. Der Termin ist in der Tat um eine Woche vorgezogen worden. :) Näheres in unserer News auf der Frontseite.

I wanted to react on this subject because I find all that strange! first of all our site official of the Sims in france announced the release date oh les sims 2 for September 24th... what would agree with the British release date of September 24th, but there I see that the Norwegian site revises his date: September 16 like if i understand well the subject, the German site official too! then I do not know too any more what think of all that: - $

das sind doch super Nachichten. Eine Woche früher ist doch klasse. Naja ich hätte es lieber in den Sommerferien gehabt, so bekomm ichs am 2ten Schultag. ich freu mich schon total ^.^

You better ask the French EA abouth release in France.
It seems that the 16th (or 17th for UK and Ireland) is the official EUROPEAN release date but to be 100% sure abouth France ask EA France.

According to the UK Webmaster the American release date will not be changed so in the US and in Europe the release dates are now the same.
 
*LoL* Das ist das erste mal, dass ich mich nicht über eine Verschiebung aufrege, und sie mir sogar gefällt. Wer hätte gedacht, dass Maxis das SORUM auch mal schafft zu verschieben.
 
Ich bezweifle ganz ehrlich, dasss es dabei bleibt.... aber freun tät's mich schon:D
 
Solange sie den Termin nur nach vorne verschieben, kann ich sehr gut damit leben, falls es aber wieder eher Richtung Oktober gehen sollte, dann steh ich perönlich beim guten Will vor der Tür und will mein Spiel!
 
Das sind ja Supernachrichten! Ich kenne mich, ich hätte diese eine Woche, die Amis das Spiel schon haben, bevor es bei uns erscheint, wie blöd in den diversen Foren verbracht, und die ganzen Spoiler gelesen. So wars bei jeden Addon bis jetzt.

Ich finde es einfach gut, das Maxis (oder EA oder beide) wirklich das Spiel am gleichen Tag in der ganzen Welt rausbringen wollen. Niemand wird bevorzugt, bei anderen Spielen ist es doch so, das die deutsche Version irgendwann nachgereicht wird (besonders extrem bei Simgolf).
 
Ich finde es auch voll gut, dass das Spiel überall am gleichen Tag erscheinen soll. Freu mich auch das es früher kommen soll, auch wenns nur eine Woche ist. Bye:hallo:

@ sven: Ich hoffe, ich hab dich bloß falsch verstanden, denn die Schweiz liegt definitiv nicht in Deutschland. :ohoh:

@ Ouiounon: Keine Ahnung, tut mir leid. Offizielle Seiten von EA oder den Sims scheint's für die Schweiz ja nicht zu geben und die deutschen geben da leider nichts her. :ciao:

Die Addons waren eigentlich alle früher erhältlich als in Deutschland oder Österreich, also wird s bei Sims 2 wohl auch so sein.
 
ich finde es jetzt gut das man endlich ein genaues datum hat und naja ist zwar noch lange aber ich freu mich schon rießig drauf und werde es mir auch kaufen und ihr?
